Local favorite piano man, Randy Beecher headlines the grand piano at elegant Mille Fleurs. Since the summer of '93, he has performed every weekend from 8:00 to 12:00 p.m. Randy has a 32-year career as a musician, specializing in piano entertainment.  As a performer, he is renowned for his relaxed stage presence and ability to encourage audience participation.  A distinguished gentleman, who seemed to be a regular patron says:   " I enjoy both his music and watching his skill with the people.  He greets everyone as they enter the door with his warm personal touch."  On Thursday nights guests enjoy taking the microphone and singing a solo.  Here, Randy demonstrates his remarkable ability to play by ear and adjust the "key" of the tunes to compliment the vocalist.  A master at "the art of entertaining," he presents a polished, yet relaxed musical presentation with great improvisational skills.  First timers come in for a drink and end up staying for the evening. Randy's musical prowess and diversity span from the early standards to modern hits by artists such as Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, and Coldplay.  When entering the bar you may be surprised at the rousing group sing-alongs to familiar tunes like Margaritaville, and  American Pie.  The energy peaks with his flashy rendition of Great Balls of Fire.  Randy continues to add to his repertory with popular material from the 70s & 80s to the current Hits of today. His numerous public performances include the nicest hotels and restaurants in the greater San Diego area. He also has performed privately for various businesses at venues throughout the country.  He has performed for dozens of celebrities.  One night at Mille Fleurs he shared the piano bench with Burt Bacharach.  During the summer, the Del Mar horse racing season draws nationally recognized thoroughbred owners, trainers, jockeys, and various celebrities to Rancho Santa Fe to enjoy an evening at Beecher's grand piano. When he is not teaching college, Randy spends his free time with his wife Alicia and their son, Matthew, and their daughter, Jillian.
